Hello again, I hope you all have enjoyed my series detailing the upcoming brand update from Essence. This time we’re going to talk about one my least favorite items involved in makeup: nail polish. I hate nail polish mostly because I can never keep it on my nails. Whether it be professionally done or I do them myself, I never even bother painting my nails since I work in a kitchen. I probably won’t be giving very many opinions on these, since I won’t be buying any of them. Let’s get started!
Big News from Essence: Part 3
Color Boost High Pigment Nail Paint: A highly pigmented formula with intense colors that only requires one coat. These have a high-gloss finish. I can’t believe the one coat thing, someone let me know how that goes! Retail Price: 1,79€.
Out Of Space Stories Nail Polish: Holographic, Metallic and Color-Changing nail polish with a Prisma-Effect. I think the names on these are really funny…so is Outta Space the place? Or just Space? Silly! Retail Price: 1,99€.
Glow and Care Luminous Nail Polish: Shimmery nail polish with Kukui Oil to nourish and care for your nails. I’ve never heard of Kukui oil…what is that? Anyway, they also give off a soft glow. Like a highlighter for your nails? Hmmm. Retail Price: 1,79€.
French Manicure Perfecting Nail Polish: A shimmery-white polish to give a natural, clean look to your nails. They have a few shades in the French Manicure line already, two of which I own, but I don’t like them. They don’t have any pigmentation and when you try to do more than one coat it lumps up and peels off, or never dries. Yuck! Retail Price: 1,79€.
Glamaxy Top Coat: The top coat that corresponds with the Out Of Space Stories Nail Polishes. This has multi-color particles with a Cellophane effect. Hmm. Interesting, never heard of a cellophane effect. Retail Price: 1,99€ .
Granite Rocks! Top Coat: A top coat that gives you a marbled finish, but only works (or works best with) light polishes. Only comes in one shade. Retail Price: 1,79€.
Crushed Glass Manicure Sticker: So these are just stickers that you can use with or without nail polish, for a ready manicure. They don’t have anything to do with crushed glass as far as I can see…retail price: 1,29€.
Stand Out! 3D Touch Manicure Stickers: Nail stickers in 3D designs, just add a topcoat and have a ready, fast manicure. Available in Tribal variations. Retail Price: 1,29€.
Totally Me! Stick a message accessory stickers: So turns out these are just stickers to put on various makeup products, not on your nails. I thought they were a little bit large for nails. Oops! But anyway, who would want to ruin perfectly good makeup with silly stickers? No thanks….retail price 1,29€.
Totally Me! Creative Tip Painter: Okay, these are really for your nails now! They are pens with a small tip to paint the tips of your nails. They come in Silver and Gold. Retail Price: 1,69€.
Anti-Bite Nail Polish and Top Coat: This is a polish with a bitter taste to deter you from biting you nails. You can also use it as a top-coat. Remember as a kid when your parents would put that nasty stuff on your nails? It’s the same thing in polish form. Pretty cool idea! Good thing I broke that habit a while ago…retail price 1,79€.
All in One Ridge Filler: This one basically explains itself, it fills in the ridges in your nails to make them stronger and make polish stay on longer (weak nails and ridges are the main reasons that polish can chip and peel). Retail Price: 1,79€.
SOS Protect and Resist: A base for your nails to prevent breaking and make them stronger. Retail Price 1,99€.
