Hey guys! I have some really exciting news to share with you today; we’re getting ANOTHER new collection from Essence in March! Essence releases so much new product its hard tok eep up, but luckily you have me to give you the run-down on all of it. Let’s get started!
I can’t actually believe this is launching from Essence! A color correcting concealer palette is a must have in any makeup bag, no matter if you’re an individual or a professional. These are full coverage concealers, anti-redness, brighting, soft glow and anti-dullness all in one convenient place! Let’s hope the formula is as amazing as it sounds! This will retail for 3,29€.
Face Perfection Primer
Ahh! Anti-Redness base from Essence! Y’all know how much I love my P2 Perfect Face Anti-Red base, and how much I dislike the Anti-Redness primer from Catrice. I am so excited to try these, because once Essence gets in to the game of color correction, I can’t imagine needing to try out any other brands. Along with the anti-redness primer comes a wake-up primer (I need this too!) and a brightning primer. Honestly, I need all 3! I’ll be checking these out and posting a review ASAP! The shades are 01 I’m your wake-up angel, 02 I’m your anti-redness angel and 03 I’m your brightening angel. They will retial for 3,49€.
Loose Setting Powder
Yet another item I’ve never seen before, color correcting loose powder? Essence is really stepping up their game! These for anti-redness and brightening, and they have a light texture to not over-cake your face. There are two shades, 01 I’m flawless minty! and 02 I’m flawless Lilly! (The most adorable names ever, they remind me of super heros!) These will retail for 3,29€.
Mini Makeup Sponges
Essence releases sponges quite often, so there isn’t really much to say about these. They are the drugstore version of the mini beauty blenders, and probably something I’ll avoid because I have the mini BB’s and I don’t ever use them.
This is probably one of my favorite items in this collection. I love having things like this for on the go! These are the same primers as I listed above, but in stick form and infused with Vitamins A and E! Wake-up, anti-redness and brightening perfection in a cute little stick, woohoo! There are 3 shades, 01 on my concealing mission, 02 on my anti-redness mission, and 03 on my covering mission. These will retail for 2,99€.
Multicolor matte pearls
I wish someone would explain to me what the big deal is with powders in a pearl form. I get it, they’re cute and everything, but I always find that they’re very hard to pick up on a brush and they fly everywhere if you go in too hard. Anywho, these are all-matte pearls to color correct. This pot contains anti-redness, brightening and wake-up pearls. It comes in one shade, 01 call me a multitalent angel and retails for 3,29€.
I’m not really sure about these to be honest, color correcting for your nails? That seems a bit extreme. These are infused with white-tea extract and Argan oil to whiten and help with oily-ness of the nail. They come in 3 shades, 01 care & dare rosy! 02 care & dare minty! and 03 care and dare lilly! They will retail for 1,99€. I wonder if these will be anything similar to the color and care polishes that Essence removed from their product line this month? Only time will tell!
This is just a flat foundation and concealer brush. Not much else to say! It has a name for some reason, 01 one team, one mission. And it will retail for 3,29€. Seriously though, why are we naming makeup brushes?
Core Lip Primer
This is a primer to help soften your lips and make your lipsticks more intense. I think this is a cute idea, and if it does a good job of nourishing my lips, I’m all for it! Even if it doesn’t actually improve the look of lipsticks. It comes in one shade, 01 prime time angel, and retails for 2,49€.
That’s it for the new Essence collection. Do you color correct? What are your favorite products? Leave me a comment below!
